About
Good Medicine Consulting was founded by Elizabeth Wolf and Steven McFadden, married and business partners. Nimble generalists (not to mention insatiably curious), we have written about and edited subjects ranging from Martian robotics to meditation retreats, local foods to global commerce. We work hard to understand your unique programs and products. We convey them in a way that captivates and convinces.
Elizabeth and Steven offer more than 50 years of combined experience in communications and consulting. Fields of expertise include organic and local foods, food systems and food security, natural health, community development, human services, publishing and marketing, diversity, and personal development. Life-long learners, our focus areas continue to grow and evolve.
Elizabeth worked in publishing and nonprofit development in California and New Mexico before returning to her home state of Nebraska in 2008. The Lincoln native has held a variety of editorial and consulting positions for companies including Southwest Roots Music, Blessingway Authors’ Services, Su Casa Magazine, John Muir Publications, Avalon Publications, Santa Fean Magazine, Thirsty Ear Magazine, and New Mexico Business Weekly. She has executed a slew of projects for a wide range of clients; her articles have appeared in numerous publications. Currently she serves as development and communications director for The Cornucopia Institute, a national organic and family-farming advocacy organization. A UC Davis alum, Elizabeth also graduated from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, where she fell in love with medicinal plants.
Veteran consultant and journalist Steven McFadden is the author of 10 books, including Profiles in Wisdom, Odyssey of the 8th Fire, Farms of Tomorrow and Farms of Tomorrow Revisited. His newest book, The Call of the Land: An Agrarian Primer for the 21st Century, was named one of the Best Books of 2009 by Food Systems Network NYC. He blogs regularly for Grit Magazine.
Steven worked for over 15 years with John Mercer Associates as a consultant and business writing trainer for corporations such as Bank of Boston, State Street Bank, the Putnam Fund, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Filene’s Department Stores. He is a former national coordinator of Earth Day, and director of The Wisdom Conservancy.
